SUSTAINABLE FASHION STYLIST AND BESPOKE DESIGNS

As a sustainable fashion stylist, I specialize in assisting my clients in creating special outfits for gala occasions or building capsule wardrobes that reflect their unique style while promoting sustainable fashion principles.

My role is to help you curate a wardrobe that is both stylish and sustainable, advocating for circular fashion principles and the use of natural materials.

My services include:

  1. Initial Consultation: We will assess your style, clothing needs, and preferences. I provide guidance on building a sustainable capsule wardrobe or selecting outfits for special occasions (galas), tailored to your lifestyle and budget.

  2. Sustainable Clothing Selection: I carefully select high-quality, sustainable clothing items made from natural materials and produced using ethical and environmentally friendly practices. Each item is chosen for its versatility, durability, and ability to be mixed and matched to create a variety of looks.

  3. Circular Fashion Principles: I integrate circular fashion principles into the wardrobe selection process by promoting the purchase of versatile items that can be styled in multiple ways and advocating for the upcycling and recycling techniques to minimize waste.

  4. Styling and Outfit Creation: I use the selected clothing items to craft outfits that align with your style and preferences while prioritizing sustainability and longevity.

  5. Sustainable Fashion Network: I leverage my network of sustainable fashion professionals for sourcing high-quality sustainable clothing items for my clients.

  6. Marketing and Promotion: I actively promote sustainable fashion and the advantages of building a capsule wardrobe through various platforms, including social media, blog posts, and public speaking engagements.

I assist my clients in discovering their unique essence and making informed decisions when building their sustainable wardrobe. This process includes selecting the right fabrics, understanding the true quality that enhances longevity and value (including factors like Cost Per Wear), choosing flattering colors, and ensuring that each item reflects their style and values.

    * Cost Per Wear is calculated by dividing the cost of the item by the number of times it is worn. This calculation helps evaluate the value of wardrobe investments, guiding smarter purchasing decisions and preventing overspending.

    Testimonial:

”Don’t hesitate to work with Carmen! She really knows her stuff and is hyper organized. She has a great instinct for aesthetics. Working remotely (which is more difficult!) and with very little direction, she somehow recreated a wardrobe of all the things I have owned and loved! It’s like if she followed me my whole life and picked the items I love most from each chapter. She is very organized, which forced me to prioritize my wardrobe project while juggling other life priorities. Recreating a wardrobe after 4 years of pregnancy, breastfeeding and pandemic was daunting. She made it fun and exciting. I feel fortunate to have found her. I randomly did an online search for someone who bridges sustainability and fashion. This is exactly who Carmen is. It is so nice to find someone who understand natural fibers and fashion. She respected my budget and gave me an arsenal of brands and looks that work well on me. I hope we continue to work together to finalize the looks as I continue to purchase pieces.” - Sophie Mancuso, Water Scientist

I designed this dress for my client in 1997, she still wears it and is one of her favorite pieces in her wardrobe.
